Heart’s Peak Got a Makeover!

So it’s been a while since our last update. We didn’t exactly plan for a hiatus. Life got hectic, you know? We released our last book in July of 2022, so nearly two years ago exactly. It’s been one thing after another since then. To put it very simply, it’s been pet deaths, new puppies, moving to new houses, renovating old houses, dealing with personal health and also health problems of family members. I’ll go into more detail below if you’re interested! Book Updates The reason I’m making this lengthy post is to share with you wonderful readers what’s been ….Read More

Facebook Group

Hey romance readers! I’m happy to announce we’ve opened a new Facebook group specifically for romance lovers! It’s called A Million Little Romance Books. I’m sure you can guess the inspiration for the title, haha. We wanted a place to meet people who enjoy reading romance. So many groups we saw on Facebook were filled with authors dumping promo and not actual readers. This is a group for readers. We’re romance readers too! Of course, writers are definitely welcome as well! It’s just not a place for promotion only. It’s for interactions. The group is simply a place to relax ….Read More

Meet the Authors

We thought it was about time you meet the faces behind Danica Avery! As you may know, Danica Avery is a joint pen name. We’re Danielle and Amber, the D & A that inspired the name. When we started releasing our novels, we decided to go with a shared pen name instead of dealing with two author names on each book. It was fitting because each of our stories is the creative work of us both. We’re not only good friends, we’re family, close as sisters. I know I speak for us both when I say I couldn’t imagine a ….Read More

Thank You, Mom

Love, compassion, sacrifice, courage. These four words describe my mom. Since the day I was born, my mother has been the one constant in my life. She has brought me a thousand smiles, a mountain of laughter, and an endless amount of hugs and kisses. When I was feeling down, she lifted me up. When I was scared, she made me feel safe. I don’t know if many people realize just how amazing my mom truly is. And for Mother’s Day this year, I wanted to shine some light on the incredible person that I call my mom. Because she ….Read More

Shout-Out to My Co-Author

I just want to take a minute to tell the world how supportive and awesome my co-author is. I feel blessed to have Danielle as a writing partner and as a friend. One of the struggles Danielle and I have had to overcome as published authors is learning how to keep to a schedule. Developing that writing routine. Before, writing was always a fun hobby and we simply followed our inspiration. But to make a career out of it… well that takes routine and discipline over inspiration. With each book we write, we’ve been figuring out the best way that ….Read More

Live, Laugh, Love

Yesterday there was a death in my family, and it’s things like this that always get me thinking. It was sudden. One minute he was there, the next he was gone. I wasn’t very close to him but it still hit me pretty hard. And today, while I was in the shower, I starting thinking about the game Final Fantasy IX. For those of you that aren’t familiar with the game, there are black mages in it. They were created by an evil queen to use as weapons of war. At first the mages are like mindless drones. They have ….Read More

Goodbye 2020

Happy New Year! We’re three weeks into 2021 and we’re both feeling optimistic about this new year. We have some big plans going forward. 2020 was amazing for us professionally, but it was a learning year and now the training wheels are coming off. Looking Back Our first release, Redemption, had its first book birthday on December 23rd and that got me thinking about how much we’ve changed since then. Redemption truly changed everything for us. Those who’ve been with us since the beginning know that we finished the first draft of The Cabin Girl back in 2018. It took ….Read More

Back in the Saddle

What a crazy place the world’s been lately, huh? Things have sure been different. We hope you’re all hanging in there and doing well. As for us, we’re trying to get back to normal, at least as far as our work goes. We’re long overdue for an update, so here goes! Fans of Redemption will be pleased to hear we’re working on the sequel! Back in March, I took a trip to visit D. (If you’re not familiar, we live in different states.) During that trip, we worked on outlining the next book. It’s going to follow Aria and Luka, ….Read More

Goals for 2020

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope all of your holidays were wonderful, with quality time spent with family and friends. We had a great Christmas ourselves. We live in different states, so we don’t usually get to celebrate the holiday together, but this year I went to visit D for two weeks in December. It was before Christmas, but we got to do all the Christmasy things like going to parades, making a gingerbread house, cooking cookies, and watching all the holiday movies. It was an experience we’ve never shared before and I really enjoyed it. As we begin 2020, we ….Read More

Man’s Best Friend

For a lot of us, pets are a big part of our lives. Whether you own a dog, a cat, a bird, a horse or even a reptile, it’s so easy to fall in love with them and make them a part of your family. For me personally, I have always loved dogs. I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have one. I think the first dog I remember having in the family was a dog named Chiggers. I don’t think he was my dog, but more of a family dog. I was really young. I ….Read More
