We’ve done it! We took on the challenge of writing a novel in the month of November and we came out victorious. It’s probably closer to a novella, with a word count just under 40k, but it’s a story with a full arc with character development and plot lines all resolved. We’re very proud of how this story turned out!
The book will be called Redemption. It’s a strangers-to-lovers tale that follows city girl Dove and mountain man Burley. Dove goes to the small town of Heart’s Peak when she inherits her grandfather’s horse farm. She plans to sell the place, but next door neighbor Burley hopes to change her mind, since the horses are his livelihood. As the two get to know each other, secrets emerge, regrets surface, and a dark past rears its ugly head.
Redemption has been edited and we’re now in the process of getting a cover for it. We haven’t yet decided on a release date. We may put it out for Christmas or we may hold it for Valentine’s Day. We’ll definitely announce it here and on social media once we get everything figured out.
We’re also excited to announce that this book will be the beginning of a series! While the story of Dove and Burley is concluded in this book, other characters are introduced that will be in book two. We plan to write several books set in this quaint little town of Heart’s Peak. Each story will be solid as a standalone, but characters will be recurring throughout the series for people who wish to read them all. We plan for them all to be quick reads like Redemption.
