Status Update – January

Busy times! For the last few months, we’ve been working our tails off. We got serious about becoming published authors, and that fire is still roaring within us. After finishing Redemption, we’ve been working on a Valentine’s Day romance titled My Unexpected Valentine. The draft is finished (woohoo!) and we’re working on editing and polishing. We’re optimistically hoping it will be fully finished after next week. This book is longer than our first, so editing will take longer, but it should still be finished this month. The cover is also in the works and should be finished very soon. We’ll ….Read More

My Unexpected Valentine

Our next release has an official title! We’re excited to introduce My Unexpected Valentine. If you read our last blog post, you know we’re working on a Valentine’s Day themed romance. This title is fitting because the two leads, Emily and Nolan, thought they’d be the last people on earth to ever end up together. They’re completely unexpected valentines! They’re in their 30s now, but these two go way back because they absolutely hated each other in high school. They both did things that left lasting scars, at least mentally. So when a dating app pairs them together on a ….Read More

Valentine’s Day Romance

The monthly Author’s Challenge on Instagram gave the prompt today of “Your WIP in a sentence”. I find this to be the perfect opportunity to officially announce our next novel! It’s been mentioned a few times now in previous posts, but never to any great detail. Let me begin by sharing the one sentence that describes this work in progress. A dating app promising to set people up on a blind date with their ‘perfect match’ ends up pairing two people who hated each other back in high school. This is a Valentine’s Day romance that’s intended to be more ….Read More

Goals for 2020

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope all of your holidays were wonderful, with quality time spent with family and friends. We had a great Christmas ourselves. We live in different states, so we don’t usually get to celebrate the holiday together, but this year I went to visit D for two weeks in December. It was before Christmas, but we got to do all the Christmasy things like going to parades, making a gingerbread house, cooking cookies, and watching all the holiday movies. It was an experience we’ve never shared before and I really enjoyed it. As we begin 2020, we ….Read More

Redemption is Live!

Redemption is available now! We planned to release on Christmas Day, so why is it out early? Well, obviously this is our first book release. This entire thing has been a learning experience, and we learned the hard way about how exactly the Amazon release dates work. If you want to use the option to set an exact release date in the future, you have to set it at least a week in advance. Face palm. Discovered that one day too late. And we didn’t want to push our release date to the 26th. The other option Amazon gives you ….Read More

Redemption is Almost Here

We’re thrilled to announce that our novel, Redemption, will be available this Christmas day! Get your Kindles and e-readers ready for a new read this holiday. We hit a few bumps getting the cover prepared, but we’ve been hoping all along to release this book in time for Christmas and we’re very happy we were able to do this. Stay tuned in the coming days for the full cover reveal. Redemption will be available as an ebook on Amazon. Our goal is to have it available on other retailers as well, such as Nook and Kobo, but we’re still working ….Read More

Cabin Girl Update

If you’ve been following us on social media, you know we’ve been working on The Cabin Girl for a long time. We started work in December 2016 and finished the first draft in February 2018. Since then, we’ve been editing and re-writing. And re-writing and re-writing. So why isn’t it finished yet? Well, we’ve run into problems. We’ve been writing together for almost seventeen years, but Cabin is the first book we’ve put together. It was a huge learning experience. We thought it would be very easy, because we’re experienced writers and because we’re avid readers. We were wrong, heh. ….Read More

Status Update – November

It’s November, which means writers are out in full force as many of us are tackling NaNoWriMo. For me, NaNo has always been about trying to hit that goal of writing every day. Not necessarily to finish a novel in a month or even to work toward a novel. It’s the daily challenge that intrigued me. Building stronger writing habits, and all that. This year, we actually are writing a novel in November! We’re offhandedly calling this a quickie romance. A short book, maybe more like a novella. Something to do for fun alongside of The Cabin Girl. We started ….Read More

Status Update – July

Hello everyone! Hope your summer is going amazingly. It took some work to get back into our proper writing routine. Real life stresses are constantly present, and we have a bad habit of getting distracted by other things we want to write. We managed to get back into a good groove, though. July turned out to be pretty productive! We’ve completely rewritten chapters 7 through 12 of The Cabin Girl. Fully completing six chapters in a month is great progress for us. Coming up, chapter 15 will be a brand new chapter entirely, and we’re in debates right now if ….Read More

Status Update – June

Hello everyone! I’m happy to announce that our hiatus has come to an end. We’ve hit some bumps, but we’re working to get back into our daily editing routine. It’s been hard to get back into the right mindset. Losing a pet as close to our hearts as Mina has been difficult to get over. But time has helped, and we want to get our novel moving again. We’re currently working on chapters 7 and 8 of The Cabin Girl. We added a brand new chapter 3, we have a couple more new chapters planned, and we’re basically rewriting all ….Read More
