I’d like to start off by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my best friend and co-author Amber. It’s her special day and I’m wishing her nothing but the best!
But wait, her birthday isn’t the only birthday today! It’s also the book birthday of My Latest Mistake! Can you believe it? Our small town secret pregnancy romance is officially a year old! To celebrate this milestone both My Latest Mistake AND Redemption are now available on paperback! If you’re one of those people that just doesn’t enjoy using an e-reader, well now you can get your hands on a physical copy! Not only that, but now that all three of our books are available on paperback, we can start holding contests and giveaways. That’s something we’re really looking forward to!
My Latest Mistake Paperback Here
Speaking of paperbacks, I’d also like to let you know that we are officially on Barnes and Noble. My Unexpected Valentine is the only book available currently but we plan to add the others soon. We hope being on available on a different retailer will help expand our reach to new readers.
Now that all that book stuff is out of the way, I want to talk about something else… Okay, it’s also kind of book related but the difference is it’s not OUR books I’ll be talking about. I’d like to announce that I’m going to be writing book reviews for the blog! This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now, I just never pushed myself to actually do it. Well now I’m taking the plunge!
The books will be romance, of course. Probably sci-fi and dark romance because those two are my favorites. But I’m sure I’ll squeeze in other genres as well. I do want to note that I won’t be reviewing books that I don’t like. I will only be giving attention to books I find 3 stars and up. 3 out of 5 stars in my opinion is average. Not great but not bad. Anything above that is something I really enjoyed.
I can’t say how often to expect the reviews. It can take me anywhere from a few days to a week to finish a book, depending on the length and how much I enjoy it. I also want you to bear with me as I figure out just quite how I want to write the reviews. Writing reviews is nothing new to me but writing more in depth book reviews is. So there will probably be a learning curve.
My first review is going to be Sins of our Fathers by Ella Burns. It’s probably the darkest romance I’ve read to date but I very much enjoyed it and can’t wait to share my thoughts with all of you.
-Danielle
Born in Kentucky, Danielle currently resides in central Florida. She enjoys bringing to life a variety of different characters. One could be a lovable goof who never fails to make you laugh, and another might be a bitter, angry person, who hates the world and everything in it. Humor and anger come hand in hand. Happy and sappy? Not her cup of tea. She prefers the broken and the flawed, because as we all know, no one is perfect.
When not writing romance, you’ll find her laughing at her two dogs as they partake in a constant battle with the squirrels in the backyard. Much to the disappointment of the dogs, the squirrels always come out the victor. Danielle also enjoys coming up with way too many story ideas in the shower, rocking out to the 80s, playing video games, and watching horror movies all year long.
