We’re eight days away from Valentine’s Day, but how about an early present? My Unexpected Valentine has an official cover! It went through a lot of revisions, and we’re pretty happy with the final result. Emily and Nolan definitely start with a divide between them. Yet this is a heartwarming story that will leave you smiling. This cover also features an interracial couple, which is fitting as our leading lady has Chinese roots. Can they look past their history to find love where they least expected it? My Unexpected Valentine will be available as an ebook on Amazon once the ….Read More

My Unexpected Valentine is Almost Here
Get ready for a new read this Valentine’s Day because My Unexpected Valentine is coming! This one’s been fun to write. Parts of it are just so freaking cute. It’s definitely a feel good story, with a lighter tone overall than Redemption. Emily and Nolan start with their lives in a rut, and they face some challenges together through the course of the story, so it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. But the story is also filled with plenty of laughs and things to warm the heart. The manuscript is mostly edited and the cover is complete, so this book ….Read More
Status Update – January
Busy times! For the last few months, we’ve been working our tails off. We got serious about becoming published authors, and that fire is still roaring within us. After finishing Redemption, we’ve been working on a Valentine’s Day romance titled My Unexpected Valentine. The draft is finished (woohoo!) and we’re working on editing and polishing. We’re optimistically hoping it will be fully finished after next week. This book is longer than our first, so editing will take longer, but it should still be finished this month. The cover is also in the works and should be finished very soon. We’ll ….Read More
My Unexpected Valentine
Our next release has an official title! We’re excited to introduce My Unexpected Valentine. If you read our last blog post, you know we’re working on a Valentine’s Day themed romance. This title is fitting because the two leads, Emily and Nolan, thought they’d be the last people on earth to ever end up together. They’re completely unexpected valentines! They’re in their 30s now, but these two go way back because they absolutely hated each other in high school. They both did things that left lasting scars, at least mentally. So when a dating app pairs them together on a ….Read More
Valentine’s Day Romance
The monthly Author’s Challenge on Instagram gave the prompt today of “Your WIP in a sentence”. I find this to be the perfect opportunity to officially announce our next novel! It’s been mentioned a few times now in previous posts, but never to any great detail. Let me begin by sharing the one sentence that describes this work in progress. A dating app promising to set people up on a blind date with their ‘perfect match’ ends up pairing two people who hated each other back in high school. This is a Valentine’s Day romance that’s intended to be more ….Read More
Goals for 2020
Happy New Year, everyone! Hope all of your holidays were wonderful, with quality time spent with family and friends. We had a great Christmas ourselves. We live in different states, so we don’t usually get to celebrate the holiday together, but this year I went to visit D for two weeks in December. It was before Christmas, but we got to do all the Christmasy things like going to parades, making a gingerbread house, cooking cookies, and watching all the holiday movies. It was an experience we’ve never shared before and I really enjoyed it. As we begin 2020, we ….Read More
