We are working on Heart’s Peak 2 now (woohoo!) but we’ve also been writing up bits from our many other stories. It’s been fun practice, to get our minds back into the right place for novel writing. We kind of went through a dry spell there, and it’s felt so great to write stories again!
This story isn’t gory like the zombie outbreak one we shared a few days ago. Instead of horror, this one is from a thriller story. It was hard choosing a quote for this one, that would be both intriguing and without spoilers. It’s a tale about an arrogant guy and his dangerously obsessive neighbor, and I’ll just leave it at that.
“No, of course not. I’ll do anything for you,” she replied.
She quickly turned back to the sandwiches, but her words caught him off guard. She’d do anything for him? He knew she had a crush on him. He liked her crush. He purposely flirted with her sometimes, just to see her reaction.
But she always tried to be subtle about it. Something about that felt more direct than she usually dared.
